Statement: Holey Moley Fortitude Valley Announces Closure After Nearly a Decade of Good Times

Brisbane, Australia — After almost ten unforgettable years of putts, parties and pure chaos, Holey Moley Fortitude Valley—where it all began—is preparing to say goodbye, with its final day of trade set for Sunday, 23 May.

Opened in September 2016 as the very first Holey Moley venue, Fortitude Valley has played a huge role in shaping what the brand is today. What started here has since grown into a global brand, now spanning 31 venues across ANZ and 7 in the USA—but it all began in the Valley. From first dates and birthdays to team nights and “just one more round” moments, the venue has been at the heart of Brisbane’s social scene—racking up hundreds of thousands of mini-golf rounds along the way.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better place to kick things off than the Valley,” said a Funlab spokesperson. “The energy, the people, the memories—it’s been one hell of a ride. We’re incredibly grateful to the local community who embraced us from day one and helped turn Holey Moley into what it is today.

“We also want to give a huge shoutout to our incredible team—past and present—who brought the venue to life every single day. From the bartenders and hosts to the party starters and behind-the-scenes legends, it’s their passion, personality and energy that made Holey Moley Fortitude Valley so special.”
